Introduction
In December 2011, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences set up the School of Vocational Education (SVE) to provide immediate and definite interventions to improve the lives of disadvantaged and marginalized youth, especially those who are excluded by the formal school education system, through appropriate vocational training programs. It has been set up with a vision of creating an ecosystem that would bring back the dignity of labor for blue collar streams of work and create sustainable sources of income. This project has been initiated under the aegis of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) proposed by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Desktop Publishing (DTP) is the creation of electronic forms of information such as documents, presentations, flyers, books, or even website content using computer programs. This course provides DTP training according to the current requirement of IT industry. Desktop publishing is the use of the computer and software to create visual displays of ideas and information. It refers to the process of using the computer to produce documents such as newsletters, brochures, books, and other publications. It was once created manually using a variety of non-computer techniques. along with large complex photo typesetting machines. Publishing documents may be for desktop or commercial printing or electronic distribution including PDF, slide shows, email newsletters, and the Web.
